This is the domain of logic, the study of reasoning and arguments. Logical thinking is indispensable in virtually all academic disciplines and professions, such as math and sciences, law and politics, computer science and information technology, medicine, engineering, education, business, etc. This course cultivates thinking skills useful for any area that values careful analysis to assess truth, value, practicality, and efficiency. You will become familiar with the basic logical concepts, formal and informal, and common logical fallacies. As you become adept at these concepts, they will engage in logically consistent and coherent reasoning, as reflected by clear and rational arguments that they construct.
